2022-2023 Tryouts and Tune-Up Clinics!
Mercer Island Girls Basketball select tryouts are scheduled for Saturday, October 1st and Monday, October 3rd. Both dates are required for evaluation. Tryouts will be held at the Mercer Island Boys and Girls Club (PEAK).
Preparation & skills development clinics* with Coach Mo Hines:
∙ Monday, September 12th
- 5th/6th grades 5:30-7 p.m. at Northwood Elementary School
- 7th/8th grades 7- 8:30 p.m. at Northwood Elementary School
∙ Monday, September 26th
- 5th/6th grades 5:30-7 p.m. at Northwood Elementary School
- 7th/8th grades 7- 8:30 p.m. at Northwood Elementary School
* Cost is $25 per training development session.
* Coach Maurice “Mo” Hines is well known for being one of the best coaches and trainers not only in the Puget Sound region, but on the entire West Coast. He is currently Head Coach of the Tree of Hope Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) 17U team and coaches highly competitive AAU teams of all ages. His experience includes seven years as an Assistant Coach in the Pac-12 for Washington State University and member of the “Elite is Earned” training circuit. Mo brings vast experience and basketball knowledge to the Mercer Island Girls Basketball program to help with player development.

∙ Saturday, October 1st
- 5th/6th grades 9 – 10:30 a.m. at PEAK
- 7th/8th grades 10:30 – 12 p.m. at PEAK
∙ Monday, October 3rd
- 5th/6th grades 6 – 7:30 p.m. at PEAK
- 7th/8th grades 7:30 – 9 p.m. at PEAK
