The Mercer Island Girls Basketball Booster Club supports girls’ basketball 5th – 12th grade.

When are tryouts for the girls’ teams?

MIGB runs the girls’ select basketball program 5th-8th grade. 2-day tryouts are usually in mid-late September with practices 2x per week beginning immediately.  Players are expected to attend both days of tryouts.  Parent informational meeting will be held following the formation of the teams.  Any questions - please email migirlsbball@gmail.com.

Tryouts are closed to viewers. The players, coaches and evaluators will be the only persons allowed in the gym.

Can my 4th grader tryout for the 5th grade team?

Your child is encouraged to try out for the experience, but we will not displace a 5th grade player from the team for a 4th grade player.

Who are the evaluators?

We will have a committee of evaluators for each tryout that consist of the select coaches, high school coaches, board members, and independent evaluators from the basketball community.

When will the tryout results be posted?

Results will be posted on our website (migb.org) the day following tryouts. If you have been selected for a team you will need to complete registration via the link emailed to you on that day.

There will be a Player and Parent meeting held as soon as possible after teams are formed, uniforms will be available to try on and order if needed.

Who are the coaches?

We have a list of our coaches and their bios under the coaches tab.
